The German ITA International Trade Fair Academy has from 21 to 23 May 2009 successfully held its first training program for the Indian exhibition- and congress industry in Mumbai, India, in cooperation with Indian company Dickenson Media.

A wide range of high-profile companies and organisations delegated students to participate in the ITA International Trade Fair Management program. The 44 participants were intensively trained in 12 major topics of International Exhibition & Conference Management.

Part of the course formed the International Exhibition Night on May 22nd 2009. A panel discussion and cocktail session were held, the topic being ‘How will the Economic Crisis change business in the international and Indian exhibition industry?’
The event was meant to allow course participants to communicate and network with regional exhibition industry leaders, and enjoyed the participation of more than 80 guests including high-ranking Indian exhibition managers.

Due to great success, a second ITA training course in India has been scheduled for October 21st to October 23rd 2009 and will be held at the India Habitat Center in New Delhi, India.
